Ralph Smith asked 5 years ago Hi, do you need to demonstrate to the Revenue that the company has shortage of work in order to qualify for the scheme? what if a company reduce working hours by putting employees on voluntary hours/work days cut (it is only ‘voluntary’ in theory, as the management told us we are expected to take it). Would the company qualify then? The is no shortage of work as such, but a way for the company to preserve cash.
