Store mobile numbers in Excel

Store mobile numbers in Excel 128 128 Ralph Smith

When storing mobile numbers in excel you will often find that unless you put a ? in front of the mobile number (Storing it as text) Then the 0 at the start of the number will disappear.

Heres my solution

  • The better option is to format cell as a text. If you try to use this number with advanced excel functions(e.g. concatenate) these zeros will disappear (this is not a value of the cell, it’s only formatting). Hope it helps.
